HARGEISA , (HargeisaPress) —The deputy President of the Republic of Somaliland H.E. Abdurrahman Abdullahi Ishmael aka Abdurrahman Zailici has on Saturday received a high Kuwaiti delegation in his office in Hargeisa.
The Kuwaiti delegation from a charity organization called revival of Islamic Heritage society is spearheaded by Sheikh Jasem Mohamed Al-enati the chairman of the organization in Africa, and some other members such Dr Farhan Obaid Alshammari, Abdullah Murshed Alenizi and Bader Mohamed Alajmi, had long discussion with the deputy President of Somaliland accompanied by the national drought committee of Somaliland.
The Minister for religion and bestow of Somaliland Sheikh Khalil addressed the press.
“These brothers of ours from Kuwait are here in an official visit in which they are responding to message sent to them by the President of Somaliland His Excellency Ahmed Silanyo, regarding about the stern drought which has stricken the country” said Minister Sheikh Khaliil.
The delegation will be purchasing food stuff which will cover needs of 2,000 families from the local markets in the country, and will then handover to the national drought committee, who will be taken the food to the extreme needy families.
Besides that the delegation has pledge to do something about the continuation of the drought in the country, and said that they will be digging wells and big water reservoirs.
Finally the deputy President of Somaliland has thanked the delegation from the charity organization of the government of Kuwait, for their respond on the drought issue and the pledges they made too.
