HARGEISA–The pioneer of Somaliland’s first fiber-optic network infrastructure, Somcable and it’s only authorized retail agent in Somaliland, SO! Sogasho (Powered by Somcable) on Thursday donated US$200 000 to compliment the drought relief effort in Somaliland.
The company made the announcement during an emergency meeting for prominent business moguls to apprise them of the drought situation in Somaliland and to discuss ways to rush aid to affected areas.
The company availed the same amount last year towards the national drought relief programme under the National Drought Committee.
During the emergency meeting, participating business moguls contributed generously to the drought effort as below:

The Business community donations closely follow another million Dollars the government credited to the National Drought Committee on Wednesday.
Speaking at the emergency meeting, Minister of Presidency, Mohaamoud Hashi Abdi said the support extended reflects good sense of responsible corporate citizenship and sets example for the business sector to compliment efforts of the Society to curb the impacts of the drought in Somaliland.
