HargeisaPress – The United Nations Population Fund “UNFPA” held a two-day meeting on Wednesday in Hargeisa in which the agency and its partners reviewed its programmes for 2018 in Somaliland and set new plans for 2019.
Head of Office for UNFPA Hargeisa, Faisa Ibrahin and senior officers from Ministry of Health Development, Minister of Youth and Sports, Ministry of National Planning and Development, Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs, SONLAC as well as leaders of NGO partners participated in the meeting.
The Ministry of Youth and Sports, Boos Mire Mohamed, who officially opened the workshop on Wednesday, said that he is honored to open UNFPA’s Annual Review and Planning Workshop and that he is expecting participants to put new plans in place to contribute to the development of the young people in Somaliland.
UNFPA has been implementing projects pertaining to youth, reproductive health, gender and population in Somaliland since 2006.
