Somaliland: Health Minister Hands Over New Ambulance to Gebiley Hospital

Hargeisa, (HargeisaPress) —A brand new ambulance and medical supplies have been turned over to Gebiley General Hospital on Sunday.

The hand over ceremony held at Gebiley hospital premises was personally facilitated and handed by the minister for health, Hon. Suleiman Isse Ahmed and was flanked by State minister for Energy & Minerals, Hon. Yusuf Osman Garas. The medical supplies and the ambulances have been donated thanks to Somaliland expatriates.

The expatriates have handed over to the health minister two ambulances and the medical aid. The health minister has declared that he handed over one ambulance to Da’arta district.

Both ministers who delivered speeches at functions during handing over ceremonies have expressed thanks to Ms. Khadra Da’ud Ismail who spearheaded in bringing the donation to Somaliland so as to improve health system in the country. The ministers have urged Somaliland expatriates to emulate Khadra’s example and take part in the reconstruction of the country. This is a big help for the people, particularly the poor who are needing emergency response in times of sickness and calamities.

It was advised  to take extra good care and properly maintain the new ambulance as she stressed that ambulance is a basic necessity in any hospital and other health facilities.
