Hargeisa, (HargeisaPress) —Veteran Somali musician, Shamis Abokar Ismail on Thursday died in Hargeisa of the breakaway Somaliland.
Ismail, aka “Gudodo Arwo” who was living in Hargeisa recent years, was among the few surviving musicians who joint the platform before Somalia’s independence.
She was the first modern Somali musician heard on Radio Hargeisa in 1950s.
